Prestigious contract in the Slovak Republic won

STAPRO has won a very prestigious contract for the "Health Sector Modernization Project" in the Slovak Republic. The project is financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) loan to the Slovak government. The main objective of the project is "Technical Assistance to National Health Information / Data Center". Namely:

- Conducting an information and technology audit of all MoH systems and relevant systems in health care region in Slovakia.

- Developing a data model for the current health system in Slovakia.

- Comparing the current data model to best practices in other countries and developing a proposed data model.

- Develop an implementation plan to synchronize and align the MoH operated systems with the requirements of the proposed data model.

- Propose an overall decision support system for health care system management.

- Propose actions to be undertaken to increase security and confidentiality of information.

- Develop a plan for the implementation of a National Center for Health Information, which would house the decision support system and make appropriate health information available to health care providers, health insurance companies, other government departments and the general public.

- Consider appropriate linkages with the Health Information Standards project activities and if appropriate with other components of TAP.

The acquiring of the contract was a result of a long-term presence of STAPRO on the healthcare IS market and very successful activities of its youngest division: the Division of Healthcare Management under the leadership of MUDr. Milos Suchy.
