New solution – connector HIS StaproAKORD into NETC@RDS

The project NETC@RDS is a technical realization of the operation of the European Health Insurance Card EHIC with the aim of computerization of administrative procedures connected with the provision and payment of healthcare provided to the citizens of the EU member states.

STAPRO company Ltd joined the project NETC@RDS in order to verify the formulated solutions in practice, videlicet within the hospital information system. The connector for NETC@RDS solutions allows us to use in HIS StaproAKORD the process of validation of health insurance within the EU, as it is defined in the project NETC@RDS. The Importance of the construction of the connector itself is not only confirmation of the European Health Insurance card, but it also contains the patients’ identification data that is transmitted electronically from the server of NETC@RDS. The subsequent use of handed identification data is crucial for a number of administrative processes in the hospital information system (HIS). Thus, for healthcare providers there is a tool that will increase the guarantee of a trouble-free payment for provided healthcare and that, at the same time, will eliminate input errors during the entering of patient´s identification and personal data to the register of the information system.
